Silver
Ribbon Products
|
The distribution of Silver Ribbon products
promotes public awareness of the need for
support of people with brain disorders and
disabilities. Their purchase raises funds
for the Campaign's efforts and for brain disorder and disability
organizations.
NARSAD Artworks,
which distributes Silver Ribbon products, is a 501
(c)3, non-profit
organization. Any profits over operating
costs generated by the sale of Silver
Ribbon products flow to
NARSAD: The Mental Health Research Association,
and to other brain disorder and disability
organizations. For instance, if a person
whose main interest is Alzheimer's disorder buys
Silver Ribbons from NARSAD Artworks, an
Alzheimer's organization will receive 10% of
such sales. Additionally, many
organizations, such as
National Alliance on Mental Illness and
National Mental Health Association, purchase
large quantities of products at up to a 50%
discount.
-
Give a basket of Silver Ribbons to your
neurologist, neuropsychiatrist,
neurosurgeon, psychiatrist, psychologist,
rehabilitation clinic, or
other associated practitioner.
-
Get your support and advocacy organization
involved! Have them sell or give out
personalized Silver Ribbon products at
conferences and functions.
-
Sell Silver Ribbon products at town fairs,
markets, or local stores as a fundraiser and
publicity-tool for your organization.
-
Hand out Silver Ribbons to neighbors, friends,
members of your religion, hairdressers, grocers, and even strangers.
-
Publicize the Silver Ribbon in local
community or Homeowner Association newsletters or other forums of
public news.

You can view or
download the Silver Ribbon Campaign for the
Brain brochure by clicking on the images to the
right. Print as many copies as you like at
your local copy store. Print the two pages
back to back on a single sheet; the design lets
you then tri-fold it.
This is an Adobe Acrobat PDF file which can be

Plan a
Silver Ribbon Event
|
Organizing and hosting a Silver
Ribbon event is an exciting way to help further the cause of the Silver Ribbon
Campaign for the Brain. Events provide
opportunities to: promote awareness about brain
disorders and disabilities through the publicity they generate,
educate the public through symposiums,
literature, organizations' publicity,
and raise funds for research, advocacy,
and support through, for example, ticket sales, donations,
tribute journals, and auctions.

Symposium; a Silver Ribbon Golf Tournament; or a Brain Imaging Center Dinner.

are looking for suggestions.
